Article Idea:
Scrumming through an Enterprise Implementation
suggested by mary lukanuski on 2007/08/06
Your company has bought a six to seven figure enterprise software “solution”. You’ve been assigned to consult with a cross functional team of business analysts and developers to create a user experience that will be acceptable, and hopefully productive, to the target user group. In addition, the development team has decided to use the agile software development Scrum project management methodology.
Mary Lukanuski, a veteran of web based application development, shares her experience navigating the organizational and discipline issues that arose from her work and her final realization that compromise is to be expected.

I’m interested in your perspective on how UX / IA / design is impacted by being applied within a SCRUM workflow… * How is our “regular” design process changed? * Do tools and techniques require adjusting? (e.g. sitemapping, wireframing, etc.?) * What are the design leadership challenges?

I also think that this would be a very valuable article to read. A lot of us will probably be integrated in scrum workflows
in the near future and need to find solutions on how to merge scrum and IA thinking effectively.
In my current company we follow the scrum process already. If you want to push the strategie on User Centered Design
at the same time, you really need to know where the laverages are and how to create a common understanding among all stakeholders—> BIG CHALLENGE :)...
