Article Idea:
Get Twitterpated
suggested by Robert Stribley on 2008/03/28
As with any technology, people find myriad ways to use Internet apps once they’re developed to suit their own needs and interests. This seems especially true in the case of micro-blogging services like Twitter and even Facebook’s status updates. People use Twitter, for example, to do far more than express “What are you doing?” I’d like to submit an article that attempts to codify the primary ways people are using micro-blogging and also to examine some of the more unique applications of the practice. Another facet to consider, in this article or another, what’s the impact of all this micro-content on our lives – and our attention spans?

This is a great idea with great timing. The low barrier to entry for these micro-blogging formats are really beginning to have an affect on the the self-publishing landscape. The fact that Facebook went from a tool for college students to the way 30-somethings connect with friends and colleagues is partly due to this twitter-esque simplicity. It deserves a closer look from a smart writer like Robert. I am excited for this Idea.

Brilliant!
Would love to see how to explore tagging/categorizing tweets could be used as signal vs noise filters, too.
