Article Idea:
Wireframes in HTML & PowerPoint
suggested by H Rivers on 2008/07/23
A skilled combination of Powerpoint and a little HTML (mainly for tables) can make wire frame concepts that are: created quickly, easy to share, easy to change, and can look almost like the real thing.
I’ve been using PPT for mockups for years and whenever I show them to clients (or other designers) they all say: wow, I didn’t know PowerPoint could do THAT. I seem to have learned some great tricks along the way that really make my wire frame mockups work .
I thought I’d write about what it is that I do, share some sample PPT decks, and show a few of my “secrets”.

Well I am still to be convinced that PPT is the right tool for this endeavor – I am sure you can get good looking results, but the effort is enormous, because PPT is not built for drawing/illustration/sketching. But as I said, I am ready to learn more….
Do you plan to compare the process of creating wireframes in PPT with creating them in other programs as well? (OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Fireworks or what have you….)
