I've been online and doing IA, user experience strategy, content strategy, technical writing, and email marketing since 1996. One thing remains constant: When users succeed, your business succeeds.
Experience includes internet and intranet projects, web applications, e-commerce sites, portals and dashboards for Fortune 500 companies, startups, and large institutions: AT&T / Downtown Digital, American Express, CBS.com, Columbia/Presbyterian Medical Center, Consolidated Edison, Mercedes-Benz, PassAlong.com, Pitney-Bowes, Standard & Poor's, United Media, Yoyodyne Entertainment / Seth Godin Productions, (acquired by Yahoo!), Vanderbilt University Medical Center, WebMD/Emdeon.
Before the internet happened, I was on deadline for 10 years as a newspaper reporter, and as a wire service reporter -- before cell phones.
My MA in Public Policy Studies is from the University of Chicago.
As time marched on, I moved from content strategy, and copy writing through project management and into information architecture; ux / ixd / ia. Interactive marketing, too.
And when you get to where you're going, well, there you are.
