Lisa is currently the Southern California Practice Lead for User Experience Architecture at Ascentium.
She is passionate about the user experience and really enjoys working on the hard stuff – particularly online applications that make life easier.
Lisa has been working in IA, IxD and User Experience Design in one form or another for the last 12 years, first in the dot-com world at Full Moon Interactive and DNA Studio, then crossing over to systems analysis for a while with Countrywide Home Loans and MetLife Technology. More recently, she was Senior Information Architect at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online, Manager of IA and Usability for Spot Runner and Director, User Experience for Adapt Technologies. She also runs her own consulting practice in strategic user experience design.
An LA native, Lisa has a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts and Sciences from USC and a Master's Degree in Information Science from UCLA, thereby successfully infuriating fans from both schools. (Go Trojans!) She lives with her teenage son and english mastiff (plus assorted other creatures at any given time.) When not working far too many hours in a week, Lisa can often be found with her nose buried in a book or freezing poolside at a water polo meet.
