Thomas Bohm studied graphic communication design at college (BTEC, Leicester College, UK) and university (BA, Norwich University of the Arts, UK), now works for book publishers and businesses, and continues to run User Design, Illustration and Typesetting a graphic communication design, illustration and production service. Writes, researches and occasionally publishes. Published Punctuation..? (2nd edition, User design, 2012) a fun and fully illustrated book on punctuation. Has been published in Information Design Journal, Baseline, Slanted and is a member of the Association of Illustrators and the International Institute for Information Design. Has won awards from the following competitions: British Book Design and Production Awards, 3x3 Magazine and European Design Awards. Fellow of the Communication Research Institute.

Tom Reamy

Tom Reamy

Tom Reamy is currently the Chief Knowledge Architect and founder of KAPS Group, a group of knowledge architecture, taxonomy, and eLearning consultants. Tom has 20 years of experience in information architecture, intranet management and consulting, and education and training software. Tom’s academic background includes a Master’s in the History of Ideas, research in artificial intelligence and cognitive science, and a strong background in philosophy, particularly epistemology. He has published articles in various journals and is a frequent speaker at knowledge management conferences. When not writing or developing KM projects, he can usually be found at the bottom of the ocean in Carmel.

Uday Gajendar is a UI designer at Involution Studios, a digital design firm in Silicon Valley. Having worked at Oracle, Adobe, and frog, his repertoire includes enterprise apps, creative tools, and consumer concepts. He has spoken about design issues for DMI, IDSA, and the IA Summit. Most recently Uday published a chapter for the book "Thoughts on Interaction Design". Uday earned a Master's in Interaction Design at Carnegie Mellon after completing a BFA in Industrial Design at the University of Michigan. He also studied at RISD and University of Texas in Austin.

Victor Lombardi

Victor Lombardi

A passionate innovator and systems thinker, Victor collaborates with clients to model and demonstrate new strategic product development and management approaches. Drawing from extensive experience in the consulting, information architecture and IT industries, he brings his clients an integrated view of people, information, technology and strategy. Prior to founding MIG, Victor worked in information technology, building systems at the Boston Consulting Group, DDB Needham and others. After transitioning into digital media design he engaged in user research and product design while managing departments and project teams. He has advised and mentored executives and teams on marketing, systems design, process definition and development, and operating strategy at a number of companies, including the Ford Motor Company, J.P. Morgan, Verizon, Office Depot, Sharp Electronics and the Southern Poverty Law Center. Victor speaks and writes frequently on the need for more empathic and integrated views on management. He lives in New York City, and makes an almost perfect cup of espresso.

Victor Yocco

Victor is a researcher and strategist at Intuitive Company, a user focused research, design, and development firm located in Philadelphia, PA. He is the current Vice Chair of PhillyCHI, an organization representing students and professionals interested in HCI and UX fields in Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley. Victor received his PhD from The Ohio State University, where his research focused on psychology and communication in informal learning settings such as science centers and zoos. His current interests include persuasive communication and incorporating social science theories into design. Wendy's favorite use of IA is in the education environment, particularly in making the sciences accessible. She is currently helping faculty at Columbia University achieve learning objectives through the use of technology. An IA for seven years, Wendy has worked with corporate, non-profit, and educational clients and always enjoys seeing a site go live. She has a Master's from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications program and a B.S. in Science, Technology and Culture from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Whitney Quesenbery

is a principal of Whitney Interactive Design. As an interface designer and information architect, she has worked on projects from hospital management software to e-marketing web sites. She is the manager of the STC Usability SIG and a member of the board of directors for the Usability Professionals’ Association. Will Evans is founder and Principal User Experience Architect for Semantic Foundry with 14 years industry experience in presentation layer and user experience design from usability-focused User Interface architecture through the entire software product life-cycle for both thick and thin client applications. His experience includes UX Architect for AIR Worldwide, IA/UI Architect for consumer websites like Gather.com & UX Architect/Interaction Designer for Kayak.com. He has worked at enterprise technology companies Lotus/IBM where he was the information architect, and for Curl - a DARPA-funded MIT project at the Laboratory for Computer Science, which turned into a software company allowing him to work along side such notables as Tim Berners-Lee and Mike Dertouzos. Will Hacker

Will Hacker is a senior UX professional and the author of Mobile Prototyping With Axure 7. He spent two and a half years working exclusively on mobile design, prototyping, and usability testing at Cars.com. He also has written about prototyping and user experience design for Smashing Magazine and UX Booth, and is a frequent speaker at design events in Chicago. Will is a Lead Interaction Designer at GE Capital, where he works on multi-device designs for commercial lending software. With a background in writing, television, radio and music Zef’s focus is ‘experience design’, which encapsulates strategy, user research, interaction design and information architecture. Zef has well over a decade of experience developing new products, services, and user experiences for the web, desktop and devices. He has presented, and conducted workshops at conferences such as Webstock, Kiwi Foo Camp, ALGIM and GOVIS. His work has won a number of international awards including the prestigious NN/G Intranet Award (2008). He has featured in Computerworld, Unlimited, Boxes and Arrows and Pavement Magazine.
